Every quest begins with a question the text raises and does not answer.

 

Biblical Quests Publishing is the imprint of a community of independent researchers whose work rests on faith in the God of Israel. We follow those questions wherever they lead: through the books left outside the Bible, through the other writings of the ancient world, and through history, archaeology, and scholarship both established and dissenting. We work from the original languages wherever they survive, and say so plainly where they do not. Our deepest roots are in the Dead Sea Scrolls and the history of the Israelite priesthood.

 

But every road leads back to the Bible. We believe Scripture interprets itself. No outside source settles a matter of Scripture on its own; we look for witnesses within Scripture itself, because “at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established” (Deuteronomy 19:15).

 

Each book is a different quest, and every one ends where it began, rooted in the Bible. Careful study does not threaten faith. It deepens it.
